Depository Services

The Closed Joint-Stock Company “Central Depository” of the Kyrgyz Republic provides depository services aimed at ensuring the reliable recording, safekeeping, and servicing of rights to uncertificated securities.

Depository services comprise a range of operations that ensure the recording and confirmation of ownership rights to securities, as well as the processing of transactions involving such securities in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The main types of depository services include:

  • opening and maintaining securities owners’ depository accounts;

  • recording ownership rights to securities and the transfer of such rights;

  • safekeeping and accounting of uncertificated securities;

  • registration of securities transactions (purchase and sale, donation, inheritance, and other legal grounds for the transfer of ownership rights);

  • processing issuer corporate actions (dividend payments, stock splits, share consolidations, and other corporate events);

  • issuing statements and reports on depository accounts;

  • providing information services to participants of the depository system.

The Central Depository ensures a high level of reliability, accuracy, and confidentiality of securities accounting while adhering to the principles of transparency and protection of investors' rights.

All operations are carried out in strict compliance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, regulatory acts issued by the competent authorities, and the internal rules governing depository activities.

The primary objective of providing depository services is to ensure the efficient functioning of the securities market infrastructure, safeguard the rights of securities holders, and strengthen confidence in the financial system of the Kyrgyz Republic.
