Depository Activities
The Closed Joint-Stock Company “Central Depository” of the Kyrgyz Republic carries out depository activities as a specialized infrastructure institution of the securities market, ensuring centralized recording of rights to financial instruments and supporting transactions involving them.
Depository activities are aimed at ensuring reliable safekeeping, accounting, and transfer of ownership rights to securities in non-documentary form, as well as increasing transparency and security of settlements in the capital market.
The main areas of depository activities include:
maintaining depository accounts of securities holders and other participants of the depository system;
recording rights to securities and registering their transfer;
ensuring the safekeeping and accounting of securities in non-documentary form;
conducting securities crediting and debiting operations through depository accounts;
supporting issuer corporate actions;
interacting with professional securities market participants;
preparing and providing reports and statements on depository accounts.
The Central Depository ensures compliance with the principles of accuracy, reliability, continuity of records, and protection of securities holders’ rights.
All operations are carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, regulatory legal acts of authorized bodies, and the internal regulations of the Company.
The purpose of depository activities is to develop a modern securities market infrastructure, strengthen investor confidence, and support the sustainable functioning of the financial system of the Kyrgyz Republic.
