Gov. Securities in Circulation
The Closed Joint-Stock Company “Central Depository” of the Kyrgyz Republic ensures the depository accounting of government securities (GS) in circulation and supports transactions involving them within the framework of the existing securities market infrastructure.
Government securities are debt obligations issued by authorized state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic and are used for financing the state budget and managing public debt.
Within the framework of accounting and servicing government securities, the Central Depository ensures:
recording ownership rights to government securities through depository accounts;
registration of transactions related to the placement, circulation, and redemption of government securities;
support of settlements for transactions involving government securities;
maintenance of accounting information on government securities holders;
provision of reports and statements to market participants;
interaction with the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and other authorized state bodies.
Information on government securities in circulation is generated based on data from organized placements and the secondary market and is used to ensure transparency and reliability of settlements.
The Central Depository guarantees the accuracy, continuity, and confidentiality of accounting for transactions involving government securities in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Activities in this area are aimed at developing the government borrowing market, increasing investor confidence, and ensuring the stability of the financial system of the Kyrgyz Republic.
